What is ST37 steel?
ST37 steel is a low carbon steel with a carbon content of ≤ 0.25%. This steel has mechanical properties that are low hardness but high ductility and are easy to shape. Therefore this type of steel is widely used for construction, machining frames, bolts and others.
What is the hardness of ST37 material?
The initial hardness of the ST37 material was 118 HRB and increased to 127 HRB after undergoing a carburizing process.
What is ST37 material standard?
St Steel Characteristics (AISI 1045) St 37 steel is mild steel which is equivalent to AISI 1045, with the chemical composition of Carbon: 0.5%, Manganese: 0.8%, Silicon: 0.3% plus other elements. By hardness ±170 HB and tensile strength 650 -800 N / mm2.
