What is A653 steel?
A653 steel offers excellent corrosion resistance due to its galvanized coating and zinc contents. It is a high strength, low alloy steel. Typically used in outdoor hardware such as outdoor signage, garbage cans, heating and cooling systems, and electrical protection.
What grade is A653?
A653 is a standard specification for a mild steel, low carbon product grade. It demonstrates excellent welding capability, ease of machinability, shearing and forming. A653 is often fabricated into parts where high strength isn't required.
